The School and Eco Council is a democratically elected committee of pupils from Years 3, 4, 5 & 6. We meet every term with Mrs. Weston. We listen to pupil’s views about school and take into account their suggestions on how to improve the school, its environment and even how to help the wildlife in our school grounds. We support re-cycling, have created a bug hotel and we have campaigned to remove all the single-use plastic at lunchtimes (such as plastic cups and bottles) and replace them with reusable ones. We organise events to raise money to support charities such as Children in Need, Cancer Research UK and our local Food Bank. We also decide how we might celebrate events such as World Book Day.
