Kingfisher Class

Kingfisher ClassWelcome to Kingfisher Class!  We are a class of Year 3 and 4 children, taught by Mrs Weston and Mrs Leveritt and supported by Mrs Glover.  If you are in our class we think these are the things you would like to know:

We are a hard working class but still manage to have lots of fun. We cover a range of curriculum work in our topics. Here are some of the ones we have covered in previous years;

World War II, The Olympics, Water worlds, Ancient Egyptians, USA.

We have also enjoyed many school trips including:
a World War II experience at Holdenby House, The Imperial War Museum in London, Cadbury’s World, the Natural History Museum, Calke Abbey and a tour of London.

We have PE on a Wednesday but really you need to have your kit in school all week. Year 3 bring a book bag to school and Year 4 are allowed a small rucksack.

Homework will be set on a Friday and collected in on the following Wednesday. We have a weekly spelling test every Thursday and a times tables test on a Friday.

Throughout the year, we share photographs via email and twitter, showing various activities, inside and outside the classroom that we have enjoyed.

Our class also take part in the school’s Carol Concert, Harvest Festival and Easter Service, usually held at our village church and we plan and perform our own class assembly. We hope you enjoy being part of the Kingfishers.
